Monica Scudieri has 10+ years’ experience through her personal FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) journey. Her financial “couch potato” watershed moment was when she realized she had $257,000 in debt. Ten years later, she achieved financial “rock star” status, having obtained Financial Independence (FI).

Monica is a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and Financially Independent Retired, or FIReD. When she is not writing or coaching, she is spending time with her friends, family, and kids (while they still want her around).

Monica is also a first-generation American Italian with dual citizenship for herself and her kids. For most of her adult life, she has had pets around having adopted two rescued tabby cats and two rescue beagles. She loves meeting people and hearing their stories and believes we are more alike than different.
